WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED
ACROSS THE SIERRA CREST THIS AFTERNOON. RADAR IMAGERY AND
LIGHTNING DATA INDICATED TWO OF THE MOST ACTIVE CELLS ARE
CURRENTLY IN EASTERN EL DORADO AND AMADOR COUNTIES...NEAR HIGHWAYS
50 AND 88. 

SMALL HAIL..LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING MAY BE
ENCOUNTERED WITH THESE STORMS. OTHER STORMS COULD DEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON ALONG THE CREST BEFORE SUNSET SO PEOPLE ALONG THE
WESTERN SLOPES OF THE SIERRA SHOULD KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A
DEVELOPING STORM. 

THE SHOWER ACTIVITY SHOULD ABATE AFTER SUNSET.
